Report on Internship (Sem-2) 2023 – 2025

The internship teaching in Humera Khan College of Education for Semester – 2 (2023-2025) started from 08th July’ 2024 till 31st July’ 2024. The professors along with the students worked hard to get permission for various estimated institutions. And so, students were allotted institutions namely:

3.Vivek Junior College of Commerce (Samrin Nargolia)

4.Oriental College of Commerce (Zulekha Khan)

5.Sathe College (Kirti Chache)

Each Students was required to conduct, 5 Lessons Plan, 5 Peer Observation, 5 Shadowing and Activities. Lessons are conducted on their pedagogical subject and Peer Observation were observed by the Pupil teacher and Shadowing of the subject teacher was observed by the pupil teacher. Along with the lessons the students had to conduct Activities on the topic related to their pedagogical subject. Integrating activities into the school / College curriculum is not just about adding variety; it’s about creating a well-rounded educational experience that addresses students’ intellectual, emotional, social, and physical needs. This holistic approach helps students become more engaged, motivated, and prepared for future challenges. After conducting the lectures with different teaching methods revision was conducted. The summarizing and reflection were done and how effective the lecture was and how well the students understood.

This internship period helped them learn to work under pressure and the importance of Punctuality internship. The internship also helped in making the students become well oriented with the skills in technical department, creativity, time management, class management etc. The students learned the prowess of problem solving, teamwork, adaptability, multitasking and making them competent professionals. Everything was conducted smoothly, and they have developed their skills and knowledge.

Report on Internship (Sem – IV) (2023- 2024)

The internship program in Humera Khan College of Education for Sem IV (2023-2024) started from 20th February to 20th March 2024. The professors along with the students worked hard to get permission from various esteemed institutions for practice teaching. Students were allotted institutions according to their methods. Each Student was required to conduct 5 Mega Lessons, 5 Co – Teaching Lessons and Action Research on their pedagogical subjects and methods. Along with the lessons students also participated in and managed various activities like morning assemblies, exam supervision and administrative works etc.
The internship helped students become well oriented with skills in the technical department, time management, creativity, event management, class management etc. The students learned the prowess of teamwork, problem solving, adaptability and multitasking, making them competitive professionals. With the combined efforts and dedication of the teachers and students, the internship program was successful.

Report on Internship Activity (SEM III) 2023-24

“Internships are a way to gain practical experience and pave the way to your dream job.”

The internship is an educational experience combining daily experiences in the classroom setting, time allocated to work on assignments, exam preparation, and organising extracurricular activities. Student-teacher interns follow the calendar of an institute and work in partnership with teaching staff of the schools/ colleges in the actual environment.

The internship program in Humera Khan College of Education for Semester III (2023-23) Internship (11 weeks) stared from 25th September 2023 to 15th December 2023. The professor in charge along with the students worked hard to get permission from various esteemed institutions for practice teaching. Students were allotted in institutions according to their methods.

Following activities were included in the Internship program:

1. 10 lessons in their respective subject I

2. 2 Theme based lessons.

3. 3 Co-teaching lessons with schoolteachers in subject II

4. To Prepare Blueprint and Administration of the test.

Internship experiences enhance students’ self-confidence, values, and attitudes towards teaching and leads to an increase in student independence, social reliability, and interpersonal skills. Internship program in B. ED is of great significance because it ensures the professional preparation of prospective teachers. It provides them a practical opportunity to develop true understanding of the teaching profession and prospects of working conditions in that profession.

Report On Internship (Sem – II) (2022-23)

The internship porgarm in Humera Khan College Of Education for Semester II (2022-23) started from 27 June 2023 to 19 th August 2023. The professors along with the students worked hard to get permission from various esteemed institutions for practice teaching. Students were allotted in institutions according to their methods.Following are the list of Practice teaching schools:

Along with the lessons the students also participated in and managed various school activities like School assembly, Special Day Celebrations, supervisions for examinations, administrative work, etc.

Internships are an integral part of any professional course. It allows students to understand how the study of their course is applied in ‘real world’. Internships not only provides students the first-hand experience in their profession but students can also apply the knowledge they have gained through their internship in real working world. The B. Ed course is one such course which provides educational experiences and various opportunities for the students to develop true understanding of the teaching profession.

Humera Khan College of Education is one of the institution which plays a crucial role in generating professional education in teaching. The Teaching Internship for the Semester IV (2022-23) period in the esteemed institution began on 13th March 2023 to 31st March 2023. To give the students heuristic worldliness, the internship was carefully planned by our industrious professors who worked their fingers to the bones, from selecting the pertinent schools and colleges, to allotting the students in those institution making sure the students have quality experience in their internship. The students also went the extra mile looking around for the schools and getting permissions from said schools. They were also distributed stationaries which included lesson plan sheets for mega lessons and co-teaching lessons and also the evaluation sheets for co-teaching lessons. And so, by hook or by crook, the students were able finally start their internship and conduct their lessons.

As every teaching internship goes, the students are required to conduct a number of lessons. In this internship, these lessons comprise of total 10 lessons altogether, 5 mega lessons and 5 co-teaching lessons. Each student is expected to deliver 5 lessons on their own pedagogical subject and 5 co-teaching lessons which are coordinated with another intern teacher of the same pedagogy. This is to ensure that while the students enhance their self-confidence, skills, values and professional growth, they also learn to co-operate, coordinate and work on their interpersonal skills as well. Building these skills and growing not only yourselves but together with others ensures flexibility and professionalism which are certainly on of the vital characteristics in this field.

Like how the famous saying goes, if we are not struggling, we are not learning! But these struggles are nothing but helpful in our growth and improvement. The environment of the internship presented the intern teachers many challenges and uncertainties through which they developed resilience. The first step of conducting a lesson is the lesson plan preparation which was as crucial and as difficult for the students. The students prepared it strenuously, as to execute an effective lesson an effective lesson plan is a must. Teaching aids were also carefully selected in a way that in the lesson it could be used properly and compellingly. Some considered writing instructional objectives a difficult task while some considered introducing the lesson a difficult task. Time management was also found to be an obstacle for almost all of the students. Many felt it challenging to maintain the discipline of the class as well. And even though the students had some experience, they still faced nervousness and fear of the lessons not going well. Despite all of these, the students were able to cope up with these problems by adopting different strategies and took necessary steps to overcome their obstacles.

With the challenges, the students were able to learn and apply their learning and understandings accordingly throughout their internship. The students were able to learn about their capabilities as a teacher and they were comprehensive of their strengths and their weaknesses which ultimately encouraged them to sharpen and improve their skills. It helped them learn to work under pressure and importance of punctuality. The internship aided students to equip with technical skills, time management skill, interpersonal skills, creativity, classroom management, etc. It also helped them grasp the efficiency of teamwork, problem solving, adaptability and multitasking, making them competent professionals.

This teaching internship offered the students opportunities to learn more about their profession. They were able to integrate theory and practice in their lessons. The students now feel more confident knowing that they had hands on experience and have explored beyond their comfort zones. The performance outcomes of the students mirrored the fruitful efforts of both the endeavour of the students and the hard work of their professors in enhancing their competence and encouraging them to push their boundaries and continuously evolve as a teacher.

Report on Internship (Sem-3)2021-22

The internship teaching in Humera Khan College Of Education for Semester III (2022-23) started from 5th December 2022 to 13th January 2023. The professors along with the students worked hard to get permission from various esteemed institutions. And so, Students were allotted in institutions namely HMW High School, Gyan Kendra School and Junior College (Ramnath Pandey), Scholars School and Junior College, Mumbai Public School, K.E.S junior College, St. Teresa High School and Belvedere School.

Each student was required to conduct, 10 mega lessons, 3 Co- Teaching Lessons and 3 Theme-Based lessons, 15 lessons altogether. Mega Lessons are conducted on their pedagogical subject and Co- Teaching lessons were supposed to be delivered with another intern teacher with the same pedagogical subject. Along with the lessons the students also participated in and managed various school activities like Sports day, Annual Day, and supervisions for examinations etc. In addition, the students also administered a unit test as a part to make blue prints. This internship period helped them learn to work under pressure and importance of punctuality. The internship also helped in making the students to become well oriented with skills in technical department, time management, creativity, event management, class management, etc. the students learned the prowess of teamwork, problem solving, adaptability and multitasking, making them competent professionals. Everything was conducted smoothly.
