Humera Khan College of Education in collaboration with Fevicryl pidilite organised a workshop which would enhance the student’s skills.
Mrs Varsha Garge was the person that came forward from the fevicryl organisation to inculcate the students with the knowledge of Art and Craft and how it can beautify the things around us.

CONTENT:
1.The workshop conducted by Fevicryl Pedilite at Humera Khan College of Education likely aimed to enhance the artistic and dramatic skills of students. It probably covered a range of topics, including painting techniques, crafting props, and stage design using Fevicryl products. Participants likely gained practical experience through hands-on activities and learned how to incorporate art and drama effectively in educational settings. Overall, the workshop likely fostered creativity, collaboration, and innovation among the students.
2.The workshop took place on 20th April 2024 which was conducted by Pidilite Fevicryl and was lead by Mrs Varsha Garge
3.The workshop was conducted for both F.Y and S.YB.Ed students the workshop started with a warm welcome speech presented by the S.Y student who welcome the Fevicryl workshop guide.
4.Then Mrs. Varsha Garge started distributing the kits to the students which would help them further in the workshop.
5.After the distribution of the kits Ms. Varsha Garge initiated the talk on the very first activity which was T-shirt painting using the fevicryl acrylic paints provided.
6.The next activity was plate painting which was beautifully done by the students.
7.The final activity for the session was jewellery making using clay mould and showing creativity.
8.The activity presented in the session inculcated thinking ability and creativity skills in the students.
LEARNING OUTCOME:
1.The students gain a sense of artistic value which would have been suppressed in them earlier.
2.Participants experience a sense of accomplishment as they complete their projects and see tangible results of their efforts. They gain pride in their creative abilities and feel motivated to continue exploring and refining their skills.
3.Participants gain a deeper appreciation for art and craft as they learn about different artistic traditions, styles, and cultural influences.
4.Participants discover their unique artistic voice and style, learning how to communicate ideas, emotions, and narratives through their creations. They explore different forms of self-expression.

Objective :
- Ram navami commemorates the birth of lord rama, belived to be the seventh incarnation of lord Vishnu.
- Beyond the celebration of this divine event, ram navami symbolizes the triumph of good over evil and upholds the eternal principles of righteousness (dharma).
- Lord Rama’s life serves as a beacon of morality, inspiring devotees to uphold values of duty, honor and sacrifice.
- The festival also marks the conclusion of the nine-day chaitra Navratri, fostering unity and harmony among diverse communities.
Significance:
- Its is a very important festival in Hinduism. It is celebrated as the birth of lord Rama.
- The festival represents virtue, morality, and the victory of good over evil.
- Lord Rama is said to be the seventh avatar of lord Vishnu.
- Lord Ram’s birth is seen as a time of divine intervention to defend Dharma and vanquish evil, according to hindu texts like the ramayamna..
- Ram Navami is more than just a celebration ; it has deep spiritual lessons and ethical principles.
- The celebration of lord Rama’s birth promotes social harmony and spiritual development by reinforcing the age- old lessons of duty, compassion, and truth.
Content:
The students of SYB.ed and FYB.ed organised the auspicious event of ‘Ram Navami’ on 19th April 2024. The event started with felicitation of our esteemed Principal Dr. Massarat Ali ma’am along with the all faculty members the felicitation was done by SY Students Miss saima Khan the programme commenced with the positive engery.
The programme had participants from the FY students who elaborated the news by Miss unaiza khan, significance of Ram Navami by Miss saniya shaikh, Thought of the day by Miss ruQaiya sheikh. Activity session included some video played to know about the Ram Navami.
The event had a small mela fest shop organised by FY and SY Students. Finally the event was concluded with good engry and vote of thanks.
Learning outcome/ Reflection :
- Celebrating various festivals at the same time create cultural diversity which is very important.
- Students learn about different culture when they are preparing for the various shop.

International Women’s Day
On 7th March, Humera Khan College of Education celebrated International Women’s Day. Several activities like singing and debates were conducted. The event was organized to celebrate women’s achievements and to spread the message of women empowerment.

Humera Khan College of Education Celebrated Marathi diwas Under Cultural Committee on 27th February 2024 every year to honor the Marathi language and its rich culture. It’s a day to promote and spread awareness about the language’s importance.
The Day started of with Lamp lightening and the felicitation of our Faculty Members Our Principal Ma’am Dr.Masarrat Ali our Chief Coordinator Varsha Gamare Ma’am, Prof. Vidya Vishwakarma, Prof. Dr Sandhya Sarwade, Prof. Dr.Avani Kanakia, Prof. Vikas Yadav and Our librarian Suman Ma’am.
Students participated in various cultural events like Speech, Singing, and Dancing to showcase the beauty of Marathi Culture. Then there was fun activity of guessing the marahi words which turned the environment into joy and laughter. Lastly there was a dance beautifully showcased by the Fy.B.Ed Students and the event concluded of with Vote Of Thanks and National Anthem.

Freshers’ Party
On 2nd of March, Humera Khan College Of Education hosted a Freshers’ Party for its Juniors. The freshers’ party celebration was organized with the aim of welcoming new B.Ed students and creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere within the institution. The event provided an opportunity for both new and existing students to socialize, bond, and have fun. The theme and the dress code for the day was “Bollywood”.
During the party various competitions were organised such as On the Spot Price, Bollywood Emoji Quiz, Guess the song, Jumbled Names and Ms. Fresher. This not only entertained the audiences but also provided a platform for students to exhibit their talents.
A variety of refreshments, including snacks, beverages, and desserts, were served to the attendees.
The event was organised under the guidance of our principal Dr. Masarrat Ali, Chief Coordinator Prof Varsha Gamare, Workshop Incharge Dr. Sandhya Sarwade, Prof. Vidya Vishwakarma, Prof. Avani Kanakia and Prof. Vikas Yadav. The freshers’ party celebration was a resounding success, thanks to the enthusiastic participation of students and the meticulous planning of the student organizers.
National Science Day
Humera Khan College Of Education Celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. National Science Day is celebrated in India on February 28 every year in honour of the Nobel Prize-winning Physicist Sir CV Raman. February 28 marks the day on which his discovery of the Raman Effect came to light in 1928. For this discovery, Sir CV Raman was awarded a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. He was the first Asian to receive a Nobel Prize in any branch of science. It is in honour of the great physicist that Indians celebrate National Science Day on February 28.
The day was celebrated to promote scientific thinking and highlight the importance of science in everyday life. Students gave speeches on the importance of Science in our daily life and the experiments and models were showcased by the students of hkce.
The day served as a reminder of India’s rich scientific heritage and encouraged scientific research and innovation.
Vasant Panchami
Humera Khan College Of Education celebrated Vasant Panchami on 15th January.
The celebration of Vasant Panchami at the library is a unique blend of cultural reverence and intellectual pursuits. The festivities unfolded in the library, where the scent of old books mingled with the fragrance of fresh flowers. The library was adorned with marigold garlands and yellow banners, evoking the spirit of Vasant Panchami.
The highlight of the celebration was the Saraswati Puja, conducted with solemnity and devotion. A beautiful photo of Goddess Saraswati was placed amidst a backdrop of books, symbolizing the convergence of knowledge and spirituality. Faculty of HKCE and Management studies offered prayers and sought blessings for wisdom and enlightenment.
The celebration of Vasant Panchami at the library transcended traditional boundaries, infusing the spirit of the festival with a deep appreciation for knowledge and literature.
International Day of Women and Girls in Science
The International Day of Women and Girls in Science celebrated on 11th February is an annual observance adopted by the United Nations General Assembly to promote the full and equal access and participation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields. A theme is selected annually to highlight a particular focus and area of discussion around a focus point for gender equality in science.
This year’s theme, “Closing the Gender Gap in Science: Accelerating Action”, underscores the urgent need to address the barriers that hinder women and girls from pursuing and thriving in STEM careers.
Martyrs’ Day
Martyrs’ Day, observed on January 30th January in India, commemorates the sacrifices made by individuals who laid down their lives for the country’s freedom and values. This significant day pays tribute to the brave souls who played pivotal roles in India’s struggle for independence.
The date holds particular significance as it marks the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi in 1948. On this solemn occasion, ceremonies and events are organized across the nation to honor not only Gandhi but also countless other freedom fighters who fought relentlessly against colonial rule.

Data Privacy Day is a reminder to pay attention towards safeguarding personal information in our interconnected digital lives.
Republic Day Celebration at HK Campus
Humera Khan College Of Education celebrated the 75th Republic Day with Enthusiam, Pride and Love towards their Nation.The event was hosted on HKCE Ground began with the March past which was held by NCC student. The chief guest for our event was ……Each and every faculty members joined welcome of our Chief guest. Then the flag was unfurled by the Principal of B.ed program Dr.Masarrat Ali Ma’am and …While Everyone stood in attention for the National Anthem followed by the patriotic Song “Saare Jahan Se Accha” A group singing performance was done by the students of Fy.B.ed with melodious voice. Later on a few lines was shared by Dr.Masarrat Ali ma’am and Saraf Sir. The event concluded with the vote of thanks given by the student of Fy.b.ed student

National Voters’ Day
Humera Khan College Of Education celebrated National Voters’ Day by taking a pledge and celebrating the essence of democracy.
The National Voters’ Day has been celebrated on January 25 every year since 2011, all across the country to mark the foundation day of Election Commission of India, i.e. 25th January 1950.
The main purpose of the NVD celebration is to encourage, facilitate and maximize enrolment, especially for the new voters.
Dedicated to the voters of the country, the day is utilized to spread awareness among voters and for promoting informed participation in the electoral process.
Republic Day Celebration
Humera Khan College Of Education celebrated the 75th Republic Day with grandeur and excitement. The event began with welcome of our faculty members and lamp lighting followed by students delivering a powerful skit depicting the significance of Republic Day. The students put up a spectacular show with patriotic songs and poems. The event concluded with the National Anthem and a vote of thanks.

National Girl Child Day
Humera Khan College Of Education celebrated National Girl Child Day by organising a special assembly.
The significance of National Girl Child Day and importance of educating girl children and educating the parents on the right treatment of the girls were discussed. The students performed skits, recited poems and shayari and delivered speeches.

Celebration of ‘Parakram Diwas’ or Courage Day 23rd January 2024
Humera Khan College of Education celebrated Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti.
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti is celebrated every year on 23 January to commemorate the birth anniversary of Subhas Chandra Bose, one of India’s most prominent freedom fighters. The day is celebrated as ‘Parakram Diwas’ or Courage Day.
Makarsankranti Celebration
On 13th of January, Humera Khan College Of Education organised Makarsankranti Celebration for FYB.Ed and SYB.Ed students.
The programme began with Lamp Lightening and Felicitation of Our B.Ed Faculty followed by students discussing the significance of major harvest festivals of India such as Makarsankranti, Bihu, Lohri and Baisakhi.
The theme for the day was “Best Out Of Waste” and students showcased their creativity by making innovative and attractive things out of waste materials. The students prepared food stalls representing different culinary items from different Indian states.
The Programme was conducted and organised with the coordination of Principal Dr. Masarrat Ali, Prof. Vidya Vishwakarma, , Prof. Dr. Sandhya Sarwade, Prof. Avani Kanakia and Prof. Vikas Yadav who also served as the judge of the event. The celebration was made even more special with the presence of our Seniors.
Along with some dancing and singing and tonnes of love, joy, and laughing, the day concluded with certificate distribution.
Christmas Celebration
“If there is love in your heart and your mind, you will feel Christmas all the time.”
On 23rd of December, Humera Khan College Of Education celebrated the festival of joy Christmas.
HKCE Classroom was beautifully decorated and everybody was dressed in red, white and green. The programme began with a lovely skit that showed scenes from Jesus Christ’s nativity, interwoven with choir members singing lovely hymns. The pupils presented a harmonious narrative that began with Mary’s conception and ended with the birth of Jesus. The excitement and joy of everyone increased with Santa Claus’s stunning entrance. Games like Bollywood mania and Secret Santa gifts had everyone beaming with joy. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the Students and Staff. It was a joyous and amusing programme for everyone.
World Saree Day
Humera Khan College Of Education Celebrated and took initiative to celebrate
World Saree Day is marked annually on December 21. So on the occassion of World Saree Day, Humera Khan College Of Education Celebrated and took initiative to celebrate the timeless beauty of the six-yard pure grace – saree.
The saree is a truly exquisite, graceful and gorgeous manifestation of Indian craftsmanship passed down through the ages. This traditional attire is a symbol of enduring elegance.
Celebration of Vijay Diwas

On 16th of December, Humera Khan College Of Education celebrated Vijay Diwas to honor the courage, sacrifice, and bravery of the Indian Soldiers who fought and shaped the course of history.
To celebrate India’s historic victory in the 1971 war, B.Ed students conducted special assembly including various activities such as singing, inspirational speeches and patriotic poems.
Human rights day
National Science Day
Humera Khan College of Education organised ‘National Science Day” on 28th February 2023 in the commemoration of the discovery of ‘Raman Effect’ by the genius scientist Sir C.V. Raman.
The theme for National Science Day,2023 is “Global Science for Global Wellbeing” as the Global Wellbeing Initiative depicts the journey of exploration to understand our common human desire for wellbeing, while also exploring cultural manifestations of our universal strivings for a good life. And to also share the importance of National Science Day.
The Programme was started with University of Mumbai song & lighting of lamp along by the Chief coordinator and Professors.
Further carried with the significance of the Day highlighting the importance of science in our day to day life.
A group of students prepared a skit on the theme of Global Wellbeing depicting the waste management issues. Further students shared the latest invention regarding new and latest technologies, continued by the other Students who showed the experiments and tricks related to the theme. Further working model presentation was organised and presented by students.
The Programme was conducted and beautifully organised with the coordination of the teachers and students making it a successful one !!
GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATION 2023
Lord Ganesha’s presence in our lives is a constant reminder that there is always hope, even in the darkest of times.”
Humera Khan College of Education celebrated the auspicious ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ On 18th September 2023.
The assembly was conducted by S.Y.B.Ed, starting the auspicious celebration, with the lightening of the lamp by our respected Chief coordinator and other staff members followed by the thoughts of Ganesha. Further an informative quiz was conducted where the audience participated enthusiastically followed by a short video on history of the festival and a beautiful recitation of the Bhajan was done to mark the ending of the assembly. “May Lord Ganesha bless you with happiness, prosperity, and good health. Happy Ganesh Chaturthi.

Humera Khan college of Education celebrated Krishnan Janmashtami on 11th Sept, ’23, Monday at HKCE Auditorium.
The Janmashtami celebration organized by the S.Y.B.Ed students created an engaging and immersive experience for all participants fostering a sense of cultural appreciation and celebration.
To start the auspicious celebration, the lightening of the lamp was done by the respective staff members followed by an informative significance of the day enhancing the thoughts of Lord Krishna. Further an enthusiastically dance performance of Kanha ji and gopiyan and an animated act of breaking the dahi handi by the students.

On 12thAugust, Humera Khan college of Education organized a skit come presentation on International Youth Day for F.Y.B.Ed students in the classroom. Based on theme “SAVE PAPER SAVE TREE”.

International Youth Day offers a chance to raise awareness of the need to ensure the engagement and participation of youth. This occasion provides a platform to acknowledge and honor the inherent qualities of youth, recognizing their potential to shape the destiny of nations and the entire world. It was well planned session which saw the participation and interaction among students.
QUIT INDIA MOVEMENT 2023
The Quit India Movement also known as the August Movement was a significant landmark in India’s struggle for independence against British colonial rule. Launched by Mahatma Gandhi on August 8 1942 this movement called for the complete cessation of cooperation with the British government in India.
To assess knowledge about this historical event HUMERA KHAN COLLEGE OF EDUCATION conducted a quiz focusing on various aspects of the Quit India Movement.
The quiz on the Quit India Movement provided participants with an opportunity to test their knowledge about this significant chapter in India’s history. It highlighted the enduring legacy of the Quit India Movement and its association with prominent independence leaders.

day on 30th September ’23, Saturday in the auditorium at H.K campus, Jogeshwari.
The event began with a warm welcome to all following the lightening of the lamp by the chief guest Mr. Waseem Sir, Mr. Haider Sir and head of the various institutions of HK Campus and oriental Andheri campus. A felicitation ceremony was conducted.
Next a video presentation on Prof. Javed Khan sir, the video highlighted his journey and the impact he had made.
Then with an inspiring speech by Dr.Tushar Lokhande, the Principal of HKCP, followed by speeches by Dr. Radhika Vakharia, the Principal of OESIS, and a speech by Prof. Varsha Gamare, the Chief coordinator of HKCE, then the speech by Waseem sir, Haider sir from management.
Closing with a hearty vote of thanks given by Prof. Vidya Ma’am to everyone in the end and distributing refreshments to all.
On this day, we commemorate the dedication and hard work of our founders and all those who have contributed to the success of the institution.
ONAM CELEBRATION 2023
The Onam festival held at Humera Khan college of Education effectively conveyed the significance of Onam Festival captivating blend of history, culture, and tradition. It serves as a reminder of Kerala’s glorious past and the values it upholds. The celebrations are not only a feast for the senses but also a reflection of the state’s unity and harmony, to embrace modernity while holding onto its roots, the essence of Onam remains a beacon of cultural pride and communal togetherness. To cherished cultural celebrations in the Indian state of Kerala, it is a harvest festival that holds great cultural and social importance among the people of Kerala. Together to celebrate unity, diversity, and traditional values. The Onam festival typically lasts for ten days, with the main celebrations occurring on the Thiru Onam day, which falls on the second fortnight of the Malayalam month of Chingam. The festivities include a series of traditional rituals and customs. The most iconic ritual is the creation of the intricate floral carpet called “Pookalam” in front of homes. The Pookalam is made using various vibrant and aromatic flowers, forming intricate patterns. Another significant part of the celebration is the traditional Onam Sadya, a grand feast served on banana leaves.

The Event on Basant Panchnami was held online at Humera Khan College of Education with the guidance of our Principal Dr.Neelu Sharma and support of our Professors. The event was filled with wonderful activities such as cooking, art work, speech,singing and poem. A Kahoot quiz was held and a debate both created a fun environment. International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated globally on March 8 every year. The day recognises the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
The event celebrated in Humera Khan College Of Education addressed to women’s achievements and raised awareness about women’s equality. Organised by F.Y. B.ed students. As the theme was BREAK THE BIAS , the celebrations included events calling for women’s right to vote and an end to gender discriminations.
Blindness Week campaign 1st April
The Prevention of Blindness Week campaign is planned by the Government of India which is held from 1st to 7th April for increasing the awareness towards the blind people. Blindness is a big issue and painful condition for the people who are suffering from it which cannot be felt by those who have eyes.

Founder’s Day 2nd October
In the memory of Late Prof. Javed Khan, the Founder’s Day commenced on 1st October 2022 in the auditorium of Humera Khan Campus with great zest and elation. The Honorable Chief Guest President Mrs. Humera Khan Ma’am, Principal of OCCM Dr. Santosh R. Jadhav Sir, Chief coordinator of OCCM Prof Sandhya Sawant Ma’am, Principal of OCER Dr. Sneha Raikar Ma’am, Principal of OESIS Dr. Radhika Vakharia Ma’am, Ex Principal of HKCE Dr. Shamim Maulvi Ma’am, Principal of HKCE Dr. Neelu Sharma Ma’am, Principal of HKCP Dr. Madhusudan Saraf Sir, Director of HKIMSR Dr. Govind Shinde Sir were welcomed by a guard of honor.
The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries followed by a heartfelt devotional prayer. The honorable dignitaries were greeted with a warm welcome and felicitated with a token of appreciation. The event then continued with a beautiful biography of the Late Prof. Javed Khan. A short video was shown to reflect how we celebrated Founder’s week to honor Late Prof. Javed Khan. The activities shown in the video were a beach cleaning drive, blood donation camp, tree plantation drive, donation of books and toys, and many more.
The event was taken over by Asst. Professor Umme Hani of OCCM who gave a speech on Founder’s Day and ended the speech with a shayari. Then Dr. Santosh R. Jadhav Sir expressed how he felt on this occasion. Dr. Madhusudan Saraf Sir shared his experience with us. Dr. Shamim Maulvi Ma’am expressed a few shayaris for Mrs. Humera Khan Ma’am and shared her experience with Prof. Javed Khan Sir.
At the ceremony’s conclusion, the Asst. General Secretary of the student council of HKCE, Preeti Yadav presented a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and the faculty members for their elite presence. Refreshments were served to all the faculty members and the nonteaching staff. In the end, the Chief Guest President Mrs. Humera Khan Ma’am planted a sapling carried forward by the dignitaries in the Humera Khan Campus. Overall, it was a successful and enthusiastic event.
Dussehra Celebration 6th October
With the supervision and support of Dr. Neelu Sharma and faculty members Prof. Varsha Gamare, Prof. Vidya Vishwakarma, Prof. Sandhya Sarwade ,Prof. Shana Bano and Prof. Rizwannur Rehman, Humera Khan College of Education held the celebration of Dussehra on 4th October, 2022. The event was organised by General Secretary Anjum Khan. HKCE celebrated Dussehra mark the end of Durga Puja and Ram Navami.
The celebration started with the prayer ‘Devi Suk tam’ at 11:30 am in our classroom. The classroom was fully decorated with lightings and artwork prepared by students. After the prayer a video was presented which showed why Dussehra is celebrated and then proceeded with the significance of Dussehra. They then presented a song which expressed how Lord Ram killed Ravana in Lanka and bought back his wife Sita.
To make this event more fun a solo dance was performed with depicted the Urban style Garba. And to show the Rural style Garba the students of FYB.Ed performed a group dance. The students then proceeded with an activity ‘action and it’s relation’ in which students played a small monologue which depicted “Women Empowerment”. Last but not the least to fill the event with rhythm and cadence Shri Ram Stuti was sang in a melodious voice.
At the ceremony’s conclusion, Sports head Sadiya Merchant presented a vote of thanks and the event’s closure was presented by Field Visit Head Shama Choudhary. Our Principal Dr. Neelu Sharma spoke motivational words and gave us appreciation after the event. It was an impressive and inspiring event.

Humera Khan College of Education held the “Reading Inspiration Day” today. As declared by Government of Maharashtra every educational institute celebrated 15th October as “Reading Inspiration Day” because Reading helps everyone to grow mentally, emotionally & psychologically & open the doors of new knowledge to enlighten the mind. During the event the importance, types and different aspect of reading were highlighted. Everyone also spoke about their favourite books.

On the morning of 15th August 2021, we celebrated the 75 glorious years of freedom and success of India. With the guidance of our Respected Principal Dr. Neelu Sharma and Our Professors The event of Independence Day came to light. From the speech to the display of Diversity of India many activities were included for the Celebration. A tribute was given to our Medal winners of the Olympic Games 2021 which filled everyone with happiness and felt proud for the country. The celebration of the Teachers Day took place at the Humera Khan College of Education. Safe to say the teachers were very happy and in awe. The students came together and planned both the online and offline event at the same time. The activities that took place were expression of gratitude, Card making, Speech and singing. Marathi Bhasha Divas Celebrations at Humera Khan College of Education (27th Feb 2016)
Marathi Bhasha Divas was celebrated in honour of the Marathi Language and in keeping with the birth anniversary of Dyanpeeth award winner poet late V.V.Shirwadkar alias Kusumagraj. Marathi being the official language of the State of Maharashtra, the main focus of this celebration is to promote the Marathi Culture. Students of the B.Ed College participated in the various categories of poem and choral recitation in Marathi. The importance of our state language- Marathi was conveyed to our students through speeches and songs and folk dance of Maharashtra.
National Science Day Celebration (28th February)
February 28 was designated as National Science Day (NSD) by Government of India in 1987. Since then this day is celebrated throughout the country with great enthusiasm. On this day in 1928, he discovered a phenomenon of scattering of photons which was later known as ‘Raman Effect’ after his name. After two years in 1930, he got Nobel Prize for this remarkable discovery and this was the first Nobel Prize for India in the field of Science. To mark the discovery his famous phenomenon National Science Day is celebrated in India on the day each year. HKCE every year celebrates National Science Day on 28th February to commemorate the day on which Sir C.V.Raman discovered the Raman Effect.
Purpose of the Celebration:
The basic objective of observation of National Science Day is to spread the message of importance of science and its application among the people. National science day is celebrated as one of the main science festivals in India every year with following purpose-
• To widely spread a message about the significance of scientific applications in the daily life of the people,
• To display all the activities, efforts and achievements in the field of science for welfare of human being,
• To discuss all the issues and implement new technologies for the development of the science,
• To give an opportunity to the scientific minded citizens in the country,
• To encourage the people as well as popularize the Science and Technology.
Activities on the Day:
Students of the colleges demonstrate various science experiments. The celebration also includes speeches, quiz competitions and many more activities.

Celebration of National Education Day (11th November) and Constitution Day (26th November)
National Education Day is celebrated on 11th of November every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. 26th November is celebrated as the Constitution Day, the day when the constitution of India, drafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was accepted by the constituent assembly.
A program was jointly put up by the students of OCER & HK college. The significane of both the days were highlighted through speeches given by the students. The preamble of India was read to remind all of the rights and duties of the citizens of India. A powerpoint presentation was prepared on Maulana Abul Kalam Azad , the First Education Minister of free India highlighting his intellect , achievements and contribution towards education. Skits based on the theme of girl child education and the examination system were put up.
Celebration of Gandhi Jayanti (2nd October)
2nd October, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi is observed all over the world as “International Day of Non- Violence”, in honour of Gandhiji. He exemplified the proverb “simple living, high thinking” through his actions, principles of truth, non- voilence and lifestyle. As a tribute to the father of the nation , a small program was organised jointly by the students of OCER & HK college. Speech , group songs and a skit were put up collectively by the students. Speech and songs highlighted the values of peace and patriotism. The favourite song of Gandhiji “Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram” was sung by the students. Through the skit landmark events in Gandhiji’s life were enacted by the students.
Celebration of Guru Nanak Jayanti (25th November)
Guru Nanak Gurpurab also known as Guru Nanak’s Prakash Utsav and Guru Nanak Jayanti. Gurpurab marks the anniversary of the birth of “Guru Nanak,” the founder of Sikhism and the first of the 10 Sikh Gurus. The festival is celebrated on a different day each year. It falls on a full moon day, or “Kartik Poornima,” in accordance with the Hindu lunar calendar.
Humera Khan College of Education celebrated this day on the 25th November’15, to highlight the importance of this day and to give students of other faiths a brief background about this day.
The significance of this day was highlighed by the students through speeches and a powerpoint presentation .The speecehes highlighted the ideologies and philosophies of Guru Nanakji and gave a background of the work done by him. They enlightened us on how this day is celebrated, by organizing of the prabhat pheris ten days prior to Guru Nanak Jayanti, chanting religious hyms on this day and organizing a common langar at the Gurudwara for everyone.
