Humera Khan College of Education Celebrated Annual Sports Day on 13th of February at HKCE , students participated with great enthusiasm and high sports spirit.
The day started off with March Past led by Shahnaz Shaikh, Mehwish Khan and FYB.Ed, followed by torch relay and felicitation of our Chief Guest Mahejabin Ajmanwala. Various games such as Balloon Peer, Three Leg Race, Relay Race and Obstacle Race were included. Special game of Paper Cup Pyramid was prepared for our faculty members.
Our Principal, Chief Guest Mahejabin Ajmanwala and Our B.Ed Faculty served as referee for the event and rewarded the winners with medals and certificates and congratulated them for their victory.
The event was held under the guidance of our Principal Dr. Masarrat Ali, Chief Coordinator Prof. Varsha Gamare, Sports Incharge Prof. Avani Kanakia, Our faculty Dr. Sandhya Sarwade, Prof. Vidya Vishwakarma, Prof. Vikas Yadav.
The day concluded with a vote of thanks and a round of applause for all participants, volunteers and our faculty for their contribution.
20TH OF JANUARY
Humera Khan College of Education Celebrated 11th annual sports day on 20th of January at HKCE , students participated with great enthusiasm and high sports spirit.
Annual Sports Day Event-2022
The Annual Sports Day was held on 5th March and 7th March 2022. It was held on the Sports Ground of HKCE.
As Humera Khan College of Education believes that sports are an integral part of education so Great Zeal and Passion celebrated the event of its Annual Sports Day 2022 which was held on the 5th and 7th March 2022. The event was so sounding and successfully executed under the immense and continued Guidance Of Our Principal Madam Dr. Neelu Sharma and other Organizing Committee Faculty Members Prof. Varsha Gamare, Prof. Vidya Vishwakarma, Prof. Rizwan Sir, and Prof. Shweta.
Positive student relationships are fundamental to success. When students feel supported, they’re more likely to engage in learning and have better academic outcomes with this Aim all the students of B.ed course like 1st year and 2nd-year students of Humera Khan College of Education had celebrated the Annual Sports Day 2022 together by following appropriate Covid-19 protocols and other safety measures.
Firstly, All Student Council In-charges, Sport In-charges Manima Guha & Afshan Hussain, Rida, Sawdah Eelaf, Nida, Souyma have managed and planned each and every activity on an advance basis and proactively approved by Faculty Members.The event was started with the Agenda Creatively Prepared by Soumya Singh 1st year B.Ed. a student along with An Amazing Invitation Card designed By her.
The event was hosted by Rida Pathan, Sawdah Roshan, Nayab Ansari, Nida Deshmukh, and at the very beginning, the Event was started with National Anthem, followed by Prayer and Sports Oath recited By Sports Incharge Manima Guha and then our respected Principal Madam declared the Opening Ceremony with her enthusiastic speech and best wishes to all the participants.
Next, as we know how Warming up helps the body to deliver oxygen to the exercising muscle groups. Also Warming up helps reduce muscle soreness and lessen the risk of injury. So, this was done by Our Respected and Dear Faculty Members Prof, Vidya Maam and Assistance Sports Incharge Afshan Hussain.
Day 1
Sports Day 1 consisted the following Sports Activities:
- Lemon &Spoon (Judge: Prof. Vidya Madam)
- Relay Race (Judge: Prof. Varsha Madam)
- Dog & THE Bone- Fun Game (Judge: Prof. Varsha Madam)
- Race(100m) (Judge: Prof. Rizwan Sir)
- Musical Chair (Fun Game).
Day 2- 7th March 2022
Sports Day 2nd had the following Sports Activities:
- Passing The Disc (Judge: Prof.Neelu Madam and Prof. Varsha Madam)
- Tug Of War: Fun Game(Judge Prof. Varsha Madam)
- Limbo: Fun Game: (Judge all the Respected Faculty Members)
- Boys Race (100m).
- Details:
- Lemon &Spoon Race: The sports activity started with Giving each student a spoon to hold in their mouth. The lemon needs to be balanced on the spoon. The one to reach the finish line first without dropping the lemon WINS !1st year Student won this with great energy!
- Relay Race: A relay race is a racing competition where members of a team take turns completing parts of the racecourse or performing a certain action. It taught us team spirit.
- Dog & THE Bone: The student that reaches first on any square on the side of the line is the winner.2nd Year students won this fun game.
- Musical Chair: It was so much fun. Also, Musical chairs teach skills like fair play, sportsmanship, and focus.1st-year students played music and made it more joyful.
- Passing The Disc: Upon receiving the disc, a player has ten seconds to pass it so this 1st year and 2nd-year students won it together.
- Tug Of War: Tug-of-war, is an athletic contest between two teams at opposite ends of a rope, each team trying to drag the other across a center line. So, in this 1st year, B.ed Students showed their team strength and got the winner award.
- Limbo Sports: Limbo is a popular game where the aim is to pass forwards under a low bar without falling or dislodging the bar. Here, we students got the opportunity to show our flexibility and athletic spirit. Rida Pathan student in the 2nd year of B.ed demonstrated the rules of the Game. And here the winner was 1 st year B.ed enthusiastic student.
In addition, a separate First Aid Team (Uzma Shaikh and Kaniz Ayesha) was also there to handle any kind of unseen accidents during the sports activities.
Lastly, the Annual Sports Day event was concluded with delicious and healthy refreshments arranged by Sawdah Roshan, Nida Deshmukh, and Rida Pathan and distributed by Hospitality in-charges Nayab and others. And in addition, followed by a group college photo shoot with respected faculty members.
And next followed by a Vote Of Thanks by Miss. Zeba from the First year of B.ed to all the Faculty Members, Respective In-Charges and Audiences and Moreover All the Active Passionate Participants. And Token of Appreciation shared by all Professors.
At the end This Sports Day Event made us realize that The need for sports is very important for mental and emotional development. Some students won, some students Lost but we all had a great time turning up our sportsmanship side. Sports refreshes people’s bodies and minds. It is said that “Health is Wealth.”
We are Grateful to HKCE for giving us this opportunity to celebrate Our Annual Sports Day Event in the best way possible.

Sports Day celebrated at HKCE
The Annual Sports Day was held on 18th March and 19th March 2016. It was held in the playground of HKCE.
Annual Sports Day is an important event in the life of every student. Sports themselves have a vital role in making a child sound physically as well as mentally. The fantastic turnout from the pleasant weather were the perfect boost for the students on their sports day.
The sports day began with the prayer song followed by a welcome speech by Sports Secretary Shahin. Sports oath was taken by Council members and Student’s of HKCE. The Principal Dr. Kishori Mestry lit the College Olympic Torch and handed it over to the students council members of the College.
The event began with boys 100 Meter race followed by Potato race. Shot put, Relay race and tug of war were the events enjoyed most by boys. Simultaneously girl’s events were conducted. Marble and spoon, Three legged race, Potato Race, Shot Put, 50 meters running race, Relay race were the sports event enjoyed by girls.
Prize distribution ceremony was held at the end of second day i.e. 19/03/2016. The students were awarded with Certificates of Merit for their achievements in the field of sports and games held in the academic year 2015-2016. The function was graced by the presence of Dr. Naaz Dhakam, the Principal of Oriental College of Education and Research.
