CONTENT:

Humera Khan college of Education celebrated Children’s Day on 14th November 2024. The event commenced with the felicitation of the principal Dr. Masarrat Ali Ma’am, followed by the honoring of key faculty members: Chief coordinator Dr. Varsha Gamare Ma’am, IQAC coordinator Dr. Sandhya Sarwade Ma’am, Assistant Professor Mrs. Avani Kanakia Ma’am, Assistant Professor Mr. Vikas Yadav Sir, Assistant Professor Shenaz Khan Ma’am and the Librarian Suman Yadav Ma’am.
The event began at 10:00 AM with the Mumbai University song sung by all the students and followed by a prayer.

The event started when Ayesha Qazi delivered a compelling speech on the significance of Children’s Day. Next was a beautiful nazam session presented by Aqsa Jairajpuri and Rubab Kojar, which captivated the audience with its literary richness. After the nazam, Sidrah Shaikh delivered an eloquent Urdu speech on the importance of Children’s Day, which was particularly appreciated for its depth and emotion.

After this, an inspiring video was played, showcasing Pandit Nehru’s life and vision for children, giving the audience a deeper understanding of why the day is celebrated. Next, a quiz on Children’s Day was conducted, which tested the audience’s knowledge and kept everyone engaged. Following the quiz, there was a fun activity called the Numerical Jumble Challenge, which saw enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers.

Afterward, a short skit titled “Aaj Ka Generation, Kal Ka Inspiration” was performed, which was both thought- provoking and entertaining. Next, a team-building activity, similar to Dog and the Bone, brought energy and excitement to the event while emphasizing collaboration. Next was a shayari session, where inspiring poetic verses resonated with the audience and made the event even more enjoyable and memorable.

After the shayari session there was another round of numerical jumble in which not only the students participated but also the teachers, this game ignited enthusiasm and was enjoyed by everyone.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks and Principal Ma’am’s valuable feedback and heartfelt shayari, bringing the celebration to a memorable end followed by the national anthem. The teachers added a final thoughtful touch by gifting pouches and stationery to the students. This gesture was much appreciated, showing how much, they care for and support their students’ learning journey.

OBJECTIVE:
On 15th October 2024, Reading Inspiration Day was celebrated at Humera Khan College of Education to honor the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam. The event aimed to inspire students to develop a love for reading and understand how books can play a huge role in shaping our minds and future. The goal was to encourage all of us to read more and make it a habit that helps us grow both academically and personally.

SIGNIFICANCE:
Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam was not only a great leader but also someone who truly loved learning and reading. He believed that books were the key to knowledge and success, which made celebrating his birth anniversary through this event even more special. EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:
The event started at 11 AM and continued until 1 PM. Both the students and teachers from Humera Khan College of Education and Humera Khan Institute of Management Studies and Research participated, making it a well-attended event. The first activity was an inspiring video on the life of Dr. Kalam. The video gave us a closer look at his journey-from his humble beginnings to becoming one of India’s most respected leaders and scientists. It was a great reminder of how much he valued education and reading.

After the video, a quiz was held based on Dr. Kalam’s life and achievements. The quiz was an exciting way to see how much we knew about him and gave us a chance to learn even more. It kept everyone engaged and was a fun way to remember the key moments from his life.

Next, there was a bookmark-making competition. Students from both Humera Khan College of Education and HKIMSR took part, showing their creativity by designing beautiful and meaningful bookmarks.The judges for the bookmark-making competition were Dr. Anil Matkar, Director of Management, Prof. Neha Sharma, Chief Coordinator Dr. Varsha, and Prof. Dr. Sandhya Sarwade. Winners were selected from both faculties, Aqsa Jairajpuri and Sidrah Umar from Humera Khan College of Education were among the winners for their great work. This activity allowed us to connect with the theme of reading in a hands-on way. It was interesting to see how everyone used their imagination to create bookmarks that reflected the importance of books and knowledge.

To wrap up the event, we had a Shayari (poetry) session. Miss Aqsa Jairajpuri recited a heartfelt couplet that perfectly fit the theme of the day. The Shayari added a poetic and reflective touch to the event, making the experience even more special.

Introduction:
The Independence Day celebration in HK Campus was marked with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. Teaching and Non-teaching faculty from Pharmacy, Education and Management studies celebrated the 77th anniversary of the nation’s independence on 15th August 2024.

The day began with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag at the Hk Campus by the Head of the departments of Pharmacy, Education and Management studies. As the flag ascended, the crowd stood in attention, and the national anthem was sung with pride and respect. The patriotic song, “Zenda Uncha Rahe Hamara,” sung by F.Y. students of Humera Khan College of Education.

The Principal of Pharmacy and Humera Khan College of Education delivered an inspiring speeches, emphasizing the importance of unity, peace, and progress. They reminded the audience of the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and urged the citizens to contribute towards the nation’s development.

Following her speech, Miss Khan invited each student to pair up with a friend. They exchanged friendship bands as a symbol of their bond, which helped to reinforce their connection and mutual appreciation. The Mother’s Day celebration at our HKCE began with the rendition of our university song, followed by a solemn prayer and the recitation of a pledge. We then proceeded to honor our esteemed principal and faculty members with a felicitation ceremony, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to our institution.

Following the felicitation, Miss saniya took the stage to shed light on the theme of the day, setting the tone for the event. To deepen our understanding of the significance of Mother’s Day , Miss Uniza speech shared insightful information about the importance of the day. A captivating video titled “Why Do We Celebrate Mother’s day”? was played, engaging the audience and providing further context to the celebration. Miss Taraunum then delivered a thought-provoking message, inspiring everyone with her words of wisdom. The event continued with an interactive poem facilitated by Miss Sadiya testing our knowledge and fostering intellectual engagement. The atmosphere was further enriched by artistic expressions, with Miss Amber the audience with her melodious singing and Miss rubyna mesmerizing everyone with her poetic recitation.

The highlight of the celebration was a dance performed by our enthusiastic masera and amber students, showcasing their talent and creativity. This was followed by a showcase of a mother day flim HK FYBMed students, leaving the audience amazed and inspired by their innovation.

As the event drew to a close, we stood united and proud, singing our National Anthem, symbolizing our commitment to the pursuit of knowledge and Mother’s Day. The Mother’s Day Day celebration was a resounding success, and all enjoy a lot in the program.

2.The workshop took place on 20th April 2024 which was conducted by Pidilite Fevicryl and was lead by Mrs Varsha Garge

3.The workshop was conducted for both F.Y and S.YB.Ed students the workshop started with a warm welcome speech presented by the S.Y student who welcome the Fevicryl workshop guide.

4.Then Mrs. Varsha Garge started distributing the kits to the students which would help them further in the workshop.

5.After the distribution of the kits Ms. Varsha Garge initiated the talk on the very first activity which was T-shirt painting using the fevicryl acrylic paints provided.

6.The next activity was plate painting which was beautifully done by the students.

7.The final activity for the session was jewellery making using clay mould and showing creativity.

8.The activity presented in the session inculcated thinking ability and creativity skills in the students.

LEARNING OUTCOME:

1.The students gain a sense of artistic value which would have been suppressed in them earlier.

Content:
The students of SYB.ed and FYB.ed organised the auspicious event of ‘Ram Navami’ on 19th April 2024. The event started with felicitation of our esteemed Principal Dr. Massarat Ali ma’am along with the all faculty members the felicitation was done by SY Students Miss saima Khan the programme commenced with the positive engery.
The programme had participants from the FY students who elaborated the news by Miss unaiza khan, significance of Ram Navami by Miss saniya shaikh, Thought of the day by Miss ruQaiya sheikh. Activity session included some video played to know about the Ram Navami.
The event had a small mela fest shop organised by FY and SY Students. Finally the event was concluded with good engry and vote of thanks.

On 7th March, Humera Khan College of Education celebrated International Women’s Day. Several activities like singing and debates were conducted. The event was organized to celebrate women’s achievements and to spread the message of women empowerment.

Humera Khan College of Education Celebrated Marathi diwas Under Cultural Committee on 27th February 2024 every year to honor the Marathi language and its rich culture. It’s a day to promote and spread awareness about the language’s importance.

Freshers’ Party

On 2nd of March, Humera Khan College Of Education hosted a Freshers’ Party for its Juniors. The freshers’ party celebration was organized with the aim of welcoming new B.Ed students and creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere within the institution. The event provided an opportunity for both new and existing students to socialize, bond, and have fun. The theme and the dress code for the day was “Bollywood”.
During the party various competitions were organised such as On the Spot Price, Bollywood Emoji Quiz, Guess the song, Jumbled Names and Ms. Fresher. This not only entertained the audiences but also provided a platform for students to exhibit their talents.
A variety of refreshments, including snacks, beverages, and desserts, were served to the attendees.

National Science Day

Humera Khan College Of Education Celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. National Science Day is celebrated in India on February 28 every year in honour of the Nobel Prize-winning Physicist Sir CV Raman. February 28 marks the day on which his discovery of the Raman Effect came to light in 1928. For this discovery, Sir CV Raman was awarded a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. He was the first Asian to receive a Nobel Prize in any branch of science. It is in honour of the great physicist that Indians celebrate National Science Day on February 28.
The day was celebrated to promote scientific thinking and highlight the importance of science in everyday life. Students gave speeches on the importance of Science in our daily life and the experiments and models were showcased by the students of hkce.
The day served as a reminder of India’s rich scientific heritage and encouraged scientific research and innovation.

Vasant Panchami

Humera Khan College Of Education celebrated Vasant Panchami on 15th January.
The celebration of Vasant Panchami at the library is a unique blend of cultural reverence and intellectual pursuits. The festivities unfolded in the library, where the scent of old books mingled with the fragrance of fresh flowers. The library was adorned with marigold garlands and yellow banners, evoking the spirit of Vasant Panchami.
The highlight of the celebration was the Saraswati Puja, conducted with solemnity and devotion. A beautiful photo of Goddess Saraswati was placed amidst a backdrop of books, symbolizing the convergence of knowledge and spirituality. Faculty of HKCE and Management studies offered prayers and sought blessings for wisdom and enlightenment.

The celebration of Vasant Panchami at the library transcended traditional boundaries, infusing the spirit of the festival with a deep appreciation for knowledge and literature.

International Day of Women and Girls in Science

The International Day of Women and Girls in Science celebrated on 11th February is an annual observance adopted by the United Nations General Assembly to promote the full and equal access and participation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields. A theme is selected annually to highlight a particular focus and area of discussion around a focus point for gender equality in science.
This year’s theme, “Closing the Gender Gap in Science: Accelerating Action”, underscores the urgent need to address the barriers that hinder women and girls from pursuing and thriving in STEM careers.

Martyrs’ Day

Humera Khan College Of Education celebrated the 75th Republic Day with Enthusiam, Pride and Love towards their Nation.The event was hosted on HKCE Ground began with the March past which was held by NCC student. National Voters’ Day

Humera Khan College Of Education celebrated National Voters’ Day by taking a pledge and celebrating the essence of democracy.
The National Voters’ Day has been celebrated on January 25 every year since 2011, all across the country to mark the foundation day of Election Commission of India, i.e. 25th January 1950.
The main purpose of the NVD celebration is to encourage, facilitate and maximize enrolment, especially for the new voters.
Dedicated to the voters of the country, the day is utilized to spread awareness among voters and for promoting informed participation in the electoral process.

Celebration of ‘Parakram Diwas’ or Courage Day 23rd January 2024

Humera Khan College of Education celebrated Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti.
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti is celebrated every year on 23 January to commemorate the birth anniversary of Subhas Chandra Bose, one of India’s most prominent freedom fighters. The day is celebrated as ‘Parakram Diwas’ or Courage Day.

Makarsankranti Celebration

On 13th of January, Humera Khan College Of Education organised Makarsankranti Celebration for FYB.Ed and SYB.Ed students.

The programme began with Lamp Lightening and Felicitation of Our B.Ed Faculty followed by students discussing the significance of major harvest festivals of India such as Makarsankranti, Bihu, Lohri and Baisakhi.

The theme for the day was “Best Out Of Waste” and students showcased their creativity by making innovative and attractive things out of waste materials. The students prepared food stalls representing different culinary items from different Indian states.

The Programme was conducted and organised with the coordination of Principal Dr. Masarrat Ali, Prof. Vidya Vishwakarma, , Prof. Dr. Sandhya Sarwade, Prof. Avani Kanakia and Prof. Vikas Yadav who also served as the judge of the event. The celebration was made even more special with the presence of our Seniors.

Along with some dancing and singing and tonnes of love, joy, and laughing, the day concluded with certificate distribution.
