Report on Special Campaigning on Cleanliness

(Under Special Campaign 5.0 as per Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education)

Introduction

In compliance with the directives received from the Department of School Education & Literacy (DoSE&L), Ministry of Education, Government of India, vide letter dated 22nd September 2025, Humera Khan College of Education undertook the Special Campaign 5.0 on Cleanliness. The campaign was organized from 2nd October to 31st October 2025, aligning with the vision of promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and sustainable waste management practices within Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs).

Objectives of the Campaign

  • To promote cleanliness and hygiene within the college premises and surrounding areas.
  • To sensitize teacher trainees and faculty towards cleanliness as a collective responsibility.
  • To encourage waste segregation, paper conservation, and eco-friendly campus practices.
  • To reinforce the ideals of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Gandhian principles of cleanliness and community participation.

Campus Cleanliness Drive

Launch of the campaign on Gandhi Jayanti with a pledge-taking ceremony followed by the cleaning of classrooms, laboratories, and college surroundings by students and staff.

The programme commenced with a Swachhata Pledge, where all students, teachers, and staff members vowed to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings.

Campus Cleaning:

Participants cleaned classrooms, corridors, laboratories, and the garden area. Dustbins were placed strategically to promote waste segregation.
