Student Council Election – 2022-24

The student council represents the students of the college. Students contest elections to become members of the council. The members are duly elected in the Student Council Elections for the tenure of two years in accordance with the norms.

Campaigning for elections and reaching out to other student teachers helps them become better at public speaking and networking. It also helps them take on leadership roles, employ their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and encourage them to play an impactful role in the well-being of the organization and the community.

Student teachers are elected for various posts like: The General Secretary, Assistant Secretary, technical in-charge, discipline in-charge, media in-charge, cultural events in-charge, literary in-charge and internal affairs in-charge. The elected members are supported by teacher facilitators.

Student Council Election – 2021-23

Humera Khan College of Education’s core mission has long been to prepare college and university students for responsible stewardship of a strong democracy.

The entire election process will help students develop their skills, broaden their experience, and make connections. It takes a lot of time and efforts, but it provides life experience.

The student council’s mission is to provide students with opportunities to develop leadership skills by organising and carrying out college activities and service projects. In addition to organising events that promote team spirit and community welfare, the student council serves as the student body’s voice.

As a result, Humera Khan College of Education is committed to encouraging collaboration among students, faculty, and staff.
As a result, to achieve this goal, the college is providing students with the opportunity to demonstrate their unique and meritorious skills of leadership, social connections, impressive communication skills, team spirits, as well as qualities of responsibility, empathy, courage, integrity, and perseverance by participating in the Students Council Election.

Student Council Election – 2019

To have a democratic feeling and smooth functioning of college activities Humera Khan College of Education conducted “Student Concil Election”. The motto behind it is that students should get involved in curricular & co-curricular activities and also in classroom administrative work.

The election was conducted online which helped students to understand the use and
importance of ICT in their life.

Student Council Academic Year 2015-2017

Student council makes up the core group of student representatives which are elected by the students. Every year the council is formed following an election which is held in the college In the present academic year student council elections were held on the 10th of October’15. Prior to elections the class is oriented to the nature and objectives of the student council along with the tasks they are to undertake.

Following this a campaigning session is held wherein the candidates who wish to stand for elections are asked to talk about themselves and their qualities as a leader. The elections are conducted in a transparent manner and the votes won by each student is calculated through a tally table which is prepared on the board.The candidate securing the highest number of votes is announced as the General Secretary for the academic year. The other candidates form the council of members incharge of different committees.
