The Nehru Science Centre is a captivating destination for science enthusiasts, offering an immersive experience filled with knowledge, discovery, and innovation.
- Located in Mumbai, Nehru Science Centre is one of the largest interactive science centers in India. It provides a perfect blend of education and entertainment with a variety of exhibits and activities for visitors of all ages.
- Explore over 500 interactive exhibits showcasing principles of physics, biology, chemistry, and
space science. Learn about human evolution, energy conservation, and modern technology. - Pre lunch we watched a show at 11 o’clock in which we learned deeply about animals, frogs, and dinosaurs. Then at 12 o’clock, we watched a 3D show “Watch captivating” where we learned about marine life and various species of fish and understood how they survive in the depths of the ocean.
- After having lunch, then we watched another show in which we dive into the mysteries of the
universe with engaging planetarium shows. Learn about celestial bodies, about our Earth, the Sun, the Moon, and all the other planets. And we learned about their unique features. We discovered what is happening on each planet and found out that it rains diamonds on the planets Uranus and Neptune. Participate in live science experiments and demonstrations conducted by experts. Understand scientific concepts through fun and practical experiments.

A joyful picnic to Shangrila Water Park and Resort water was organized by Humera Khan College of Education for both FY.B.ED & SY.B.Ed Students . All the Students arrived at the HKCE Campus at 06:30 am and with all the Faculty members a small discussion was there about the picnic, with taking the attendance of both FY.B.Ed and SY.B.Ed in the College Campus. After that all the students were assembled in the Bus with all the faculty members. The journey to Shangrila Water Park & Resort began at 07:00 am onwards, with lots of enjoyment and snacks the students enjoyed their departure, doing varies activities in the bus like Singing Songs, Dancing and Enjoying there way to Shangrila Water Park and Resort. Around 10:00 am we all have reached to Our Picnic Spot. All the Faculty members and Students assembled together.
OBJECTIVES:
- Build leadership skills by organizing and participating in picnic activities.
- To gain ideas for creating engaging,dynamic classroom environments.
- To foster strong relationships between students and faculty.
- Water parks often have group activities such as team games, races, or challenges, fostering teamwork and collective decision-making.

CONTENT
- On 27th december,2024, F.Y.B.Ed students of Humera khan college of education embarked on a memorable picnic to Shangrila Resort. A total of 13 students actively participated in the picnic The trip was organised by the college as an recreational outing providing a break from the usual routine while offering an opportunity to relax, bond, and enjoy nature.
- College Picnic to Shangrila Resort A Day of Fun, Adventure, and Relaxation, everyone met early morning in the college campus and then we went by bus Ride Music, games, and team bonding on the way to the resort and we had light breakfast (popcorn,chocolate cake juice) to keep everyone energized.
- We arrived at 10 am at Shangrila Resort A refreshing welcome and had breakfast at the resort then A brief introduction to the resort’s facilities, amenities, and safety guidelines given by our faculty team.We started the day with swimming pool and water ride tube water ride and mate ride etc.
- After that at 1pm we had a lunch of delicious food. Enjoy a variety of local and international dishes, with options for everyone (vegetarian, non-vegetarian, etc.).then we enjoy wave pool and rain dance at 3 pm after that we go to an amusement park and enjoy every facilities like ( break dance, Aerial swing, train riding and many more).
- At 4pm we had Light refreshments such as tea, coffee, and snacks (like vada pav and ice cream) served in the resorts. We had taken Group photos, shared feedback on the day, and thanked everyone for a wonderful time. At 5pm we went back to college. On the way back to the campus, we played music, shared memories, and keepsakes as a reminder of the fun day.

- The trip to a water park is mainly aimed at providing students with a chance to unwind, have fun, and reduce the stress associated with their academic workload.
- For many B.Ed. VISIT TO NATURE’S PARK 17 OCTOBER 2022
Humera Khan College of Education oraganized a Visit to Nature’s Park . Teachers and FY students visited the park to learn more about flora and fauna around us.
Maharashtra Nature Park is a 37-acre oasis of greenery situated right in the midst of bustling Mumbai, in the locality of Mahim. The park is one of the city’s conservation success stories – it was originally the site of a 15-foot high municipal garbage dump in the 70s. Efforts by the World Wildlife Fund, local activists, and Mumbai government resulted in the painstaking clearance of the site, spreading of fresh soil and the planting of saplings. These have now grown into a beautiful forest, delighting all nature lovers in the city.
The park is surrounded by the natural eco-system of the Mithi river. The park also has several conservation and awareness activities – such as a nursery section, medicinal plants section, vermicomposting section, etc.
Visit to Bhabha Atomic Research Centre 2020
National Science Day is celebrated every year on 28th February to mark the invention of ‘Raman’s Effect’.
Students of Humera Khan College of Education, Jogeshwari visited Bhabha Atomic Research Centre to celebrate National Science Day.
The students were taken around for a visit to various projects. Students were very much curious to learn from the projects and experiments shown there. Students responded, “It was a learning Treat” for them as various teaching strategies were also demonstrated and explained there.
KARNALA VISIT (18th January 2016)
The trailblazer’s foundation in collaboration with DOW chemical company had organised workshop on 18th January 2016, for training student-teachers. Around 35 number of students from Humera khan college of education visited. The topic of workshop was Climate Change. The aim of work shop was to train teachers who can in turn train younger generation of India. This younger generation can influence neighbours, family members and peers with new ideas. The motto was multiply the message which is called as ‘solutionism’. The association of multiply the message has already been connected to 11000 teachers in india.
The chairman was Deepa Shetty, Principal of Gopi Birla Memorial School, who have 18years teaching experience. She enlightened students about methods to bring environment issue in the classroom and address to environment problems while correlating to respected subjects. She also address to employment issue related to teaching profession such as lack of trained teacher, good quality teacher and failure to encourage others to take up this profession. The next speaker was Ranjan Biswas, chairman of trail blazers foundation. He addressed to issue like Corporate Social Responsible , Climate Change, ice melting problem, use of technology and conflict between developed and under developed countries over use of energy.
They were conducted field activities such as environment cycle, web of life and food change. It was a particle way of teaching learning process use of which can making learning fun. The students also visited NGO YMC (Yusuf Meheally center) to see bio gas plant, production soil and urea with organic methods. The hospitality was good and the seats were sponsored for free. All together it was a good learning process.
