Language Club

The Language is considered as the wheel of communication. It is important that our novice teachers irrespective of their pedagogy subjects have good command of language. This would ensure that their students learn the correct usage of language from them. It is thus important that opportunities be provided to enhance the Language skills of the learners.

The Language Club of HKCE began in 2021 with the aim to promote learning of the language and to provide opportunities for novice teachers to communicate freely and without any apprehensions. This is essential for making learning the language easier and enjoyable. The club aims to instil in the learners a love for Literature and at the same time develop confidence amongst novice teachers while speaking in any languages.

Thus, the club organizes various activities, and through active participation, learners enjoy the learning process. The activities are designed to develop and acquaint student-teachers with great language writers and their works, enhance vocabulary, develop fluency in the language, understand and appreciate linguistic expressions, sharpen creativity, etc. Keeping the four skills of language development i.e., Listening, Speaking, Reading and writing, and vocabulary development in mind, different activities are conducted for students.
