Humera Khan College of Education on 27th July 2024 organised a students’ council ceremony

Objective:

Acknowledgement:-

• To acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of the students who have been elected or appointed to the council.

Responsibility:-

• To formally hand over responsibilities and explain the roles and expectations for the council members.

Motivation:-

• To motivate the new members to perform their duties effectively and contribute positively to the student body.

Significance

• It provides a platform for future educators to develop and showcase their leadership and organizational skills.

HUMERA KHAN COLLEGE OF EDUCATION ANNOUNCED STUDENT COUNCIL 2023-24, BATCH – SYB.Ed. New members elected from SYB.Ed students . Total number of 35 student council members have been appointant for various departments.

OBJECTIVES :-

The objectives of a student council can vary, but some common ones include representing the student body, organising events and activities, voicing student concerns, and promoting school spirit. It’s all about making a positive impact on campus!

The council represents the student body, advocates for student interests, organises events and activities, and fosters a sense of community on campus. It’s all about giving students a voice and enhancing their college experience!

IMPORTANCE:-

• The student council in college is important because it serves as a representative body for students, giving them a voice in decision-making processes.

• It helps to create a sense of community and fosters student engagement by organising events, activities, and initiatives that cater to the interests and needs of the student body.

• The council also acts as a bridge between

students and the college administration, advocating for student concerns and working towards enhancing the overall college experience.

• It’s all about empowering students and making their college journey more fulfilling and enjoyable!

LEARNING OUTCOMES :-

• When a student council is elected in college, there are several potential learning outcomes.

Student Council Election – 2021-23

Humera Khan College of Education’s core mission has long been to prepare college and university students for responsible stewardship of a strong democracy.

The entire election process will help students develop their skills, broaden their experience, and make connections. It takes a lot of time and efforts, but it provides life experience.The student council’s mission is to provide students with opportunities to develop leadership skills by organising and carrying out college activities and service projects. In addition to organising events that promote team spirit and community welfare, the student council serves as the student body’s voice.

As a result, Humera Khan College of Education is committed to encouraging collaboration among students, faculty, and staff. As a result, to achieve this goal, the college is providing students with the opportunity to demonstrate their unique and meritorious skills of leadership, social connections, impressive communication skills, team spirits, as well as qualities of responsibility, empathy, courage, integrity, and perseverance by participating in the Students Council Election.

HKCE conducted voting for electing council members for the year 2021-2023

Student Council Election – 2019

To have a democratic feeling and smooth functioning of college activities Humera Khan College of Education conducted “Student Council Election”. The motto behind it is that students should get involved in curricular & co-curricular activities and in classroom administrative work.

The election was conducted online which helped students to understand the use and
importance of ICT in their life.

Student Council Academic Year 2015-2017

Student council makes up the core group of student representatives which are elected by the students. Every year the council is formed following an election which is held in the college In the present academic year student council elections were held on the 10th of October’15. Prior to elections the class is oriented to the nature and objectives of the student council along with the tasks they are to undertake.

Following this a campaigning session is held wherein the candidates who wish to stand for elections are asked to talk about themselves and their qualities as a leader. The elections are conducted in a transparent manner and the votes won by each student is calculated through a tally table which is prepared on the board. The candidate securing the highest number of votes is announced as the General Secretary for the academic year. The other candidates form the council of members in charge of different committees.
