Women’s Empowerment and Gender Equality are the most important requirements for the upliftment and progress of our nation. In the effort to make Humera Khan College of Education a strong kernel of gender sensitization, the Women Development Cell (WDC) has both the faculty and students of the College as its members and works with an aim to create a gender-sensitized community within the campus as well as in the society. It has been organizing varied academic, technical, medical, cultural, and social events for the upliftment of women and spreading the real importance of gender equality in society through college students.
OBJECTIVES
- To create awareness among student teachers about problems faced by women due to gender issues.
- To create awareness amongst student teachers about the issues related to girls in schools.
- To equip the student teachers in providing sex education to school students.
- To disseminate knowledge about rights and laws related to women.
- To enhance the self-esteem and self-confidence of female student teachers coming from socially backward backgrounds.
To develop financial literacy among the female student teachers.

- Workshop on providing education to school children on child sexual abuse.
