Humera Khan College Of Education creates awareness on World Tuberculosis Day.
March 24, is considered a significant date in the battle against tuberculosis as it is on this day that Dr Robert Koch discovered the bacteria that causes TB. This groundbreaking announcement led to better understanding, diagnosis, and eventual treatment of the disease. It World Tuberculosis Day aims to unite governments, health organizations, and communities worldwide in their commitment to end the TB epidemic by ensuring access to quality care for all those affected.
World Water Day
Humera Khan College Of Education creates awareness on World Water Day. World Water Day, commemorated every March 22, serves to underscore the criticality of fresh water. Observed by the UN and coordinated by UN-Water, World Water Day creates awareness about key issues related to water use. The day is used to inspire people, elected officials, others in governance and lawmakers to take a proactive stand regarding the unfolding crisis of water and sanitation across the globe.
The theme for this year’s World Water Day campaign is “Water for Peace”.

Beach Cleaning Drive 2023
On the occasion of Founder’s Day celebration, Humera Khan College of Education organised Beach Cleaning Drive at Aqsa beach along with Akansha Social Foundation which taught participants about sustainability and concrete actions for environmental protection.
volunteers attended the beach cleaning drive and made a contribution towards the betterment of the environment and society. They gather large number of bags of carefully sorted garbage which included plastic bags, bottles etc.
Blood Donation Drive 2023
The gift of blood is a gift to someone’s life..”
Humera Khan College of Education organised Blood Donation Drive and urges everyone to donate blood and be the reason for someone’s existence.
Number of students and faculty members were enthusiastically participated in the blood donation camp. A certificate of appreciation, donation card, refreshment was given to each donor as a token of gratitude.
Tree Plantation Drive 2023
Students of Humera Khan College of Education participated and helped in planting trees on 30.09.23; with Mission Green Mumbai. Encourage the students. T.R.E.E Project aim is to facilitate and supervise the planting of trees using both indigenous and adopted tree seedlings to be distributed for free to volunteers. Provide with background knowledge on the importance of trees in the environment, their role in mitigating climate change, and their ecological significance.

Project Vector Program
Humera Khan College of Education with Collaboration with Aakansha foundation under “Project Vector” distributed 200+ Mosquito Repellent Coil in Slum area Pal nagar, Malad East and volunteered Beach Cleaning Drive organized by Aakansha Social Foundation.
STREET PLAY IN ON THE VIOLENCE 5TH APRIL
This street play in on the violence and deaths associated with dowry demands constitute domestic violence. Similar to acts of domestic violence, the acts used in dowry-related offenses include physical, emotional, and economic violence, as well as harassment as means to exact compliance or to punish the victim.

Humera Khan College of Education, F.Y.B.Ed students participated in community service in their respective regions by distributing masks, sanitizers, helping elderly persons and creating awareness about COVID-19 prevention and management activities
Tree Plantation Drive 2020
Students of Humera Khan College of Education participated and helped in planting 150 trees on Saturday, 29th February, 2020; with Mission Green Mumbai. With this there was also launch of NGO Ek saath Foundation by Pragya Kapoor, where Bollywood celebrity Aditya Roy Kapur came to encourage the students.

Anti Dowry Day – 2019
Humera Khan College of Education, Jogeshwari observed Anti Dowry Day on 26th November, 2019. Various programmes were arranged and information about the day was shared on the day.
Guest Lecture on “Dowry Prohibition Act” – 2019
Humera Khan College of Education, Jogeshwari; organized a guest lecture on ” Dowry Prohibition Act 1961 & it’s implementations & how effective it has been”. It was an honor to have Ms. Asha Kulkarni, General Secretary, Anti Dowry Movement as our guest speaker for the day who enlighten students about prevailing Dowry customs, Dowry Prohibition Act 1961 its implementations and its effectiveness.
Anti Dowry Day – 2015
Maharashtra Government observed 26th November as ANTI DOWRY day on which Equality of Men & Women was imbibed in our Constitution and was accepted by the State. Custom of DOWRY is against the principles of Equality of Men & Women and hence this day is to be observed as Anti Dowry Day. Various awareness programs were organized to mark this occasion. OCER & HKCE collaboratively organized the lecture on anti dowry on this day . The lecture was delivered by Ms. Asha Kulkarni madam, daughter of late Mamasaheb Kulkarni. In lecture madam Kulkarni talked about background of an anti dowry movement and dowry system in India and suggested some suggestions to curb this evil practice.
World Disability Day
International day of disabled persons was started celebrating internationally on 3rd of December every year and promoted as an international observance by the United Nations from 1992. The vital purpose of this day celebration is to improve the understandings of the people worldwide towards the people with disability issues as well as get together to support them to improve their self-esteem, well-being and rights in the society. It also looks for to involve all the persons with disabilities in the society in each facet of life such as the political, economic, social and cultural. That’s why it is celebrated by the title of “International Day of Disabled Persons”. OCCM, OCER, HKCE, Sol’s Arc colloboratively participated in a rally on inclusion of disabled persons in the mainstream. Raay Foundation sponsored this noble cause.s Day,
World AIDS Day
World AIDS Day is held on 1 December each year. It raises awareness across the world and in the community about the issues surrounding HIV and AIDS. It is a day for people to show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died. World AIDS Day was the first ever global health day, held for the first time in 1988.
A program was jointly put up by the students of OCER & HK College of Education. The significance of the day was highlighted through speeches given by the students. The skit was put up collectively by the students. Speech and skit highlighted about how to support people living with HIV.
